Grinding Techniques and Steps for Stainless Steel Elbows

The first step in processing and forming a stainless steel elbow is to polish it. Polishing can make the surface of the stainless steel elbow brighter and remove some forged edges and corners.

1. When polishing the elbow, an 80 mesh louver plate should be used. The black one is easier to use, but in the early stages of apprenticeship, it is recommended to use the red one. The speed must be slow, and force should not be used. When polishing, it is necessary to level the polishing machine as much as possible.

2. Once all have been ground, start grinding the 320 mesh louver disc again. The 320 mesh louver disc must be polished very carefully, otherwise it will leave scratches on the 80 mesh louver disc.


3. After polishing the 320 mesh shutter, wax the elbow. It is better for beginners to apply more wax.


4. Then use a kenaf wheel to continue polishing, and then press hard on the grinding, the harder the better.


5. After grinding, it is important to remember to wipe the wax clean, as it will be easier to apply some dust.
